Reset & Renew Mini Retreat- £60

Spring (rather than January) is the perfect time to reset your mind and body for new year goals, aspirations and healthier living. In nature the soil is beginning to warm, the bulbs are out and nature is renewing.

Our mini retreat is the perfect position for moving forwards, with a spring reset and a kick start for your body and mind.

 

We’ll start the morning with Rachael HIne who will take you through a series of Pranayama breathing practices designed to provide a pause for body and mind. This session will focus on techiques to increase energy that you can also take away and apply whenever you’re experiencing a late morning/afternoon slump.

 Following this, a Qigong practice focussing on rebirth and renewal with focus on the liver and gallbladder meridians . In Chinese medicine the liver and gall bladder are organs that help to foster clear vision and a realisation of goals/ purpose and focus.

 After a short break and a cleansing juice, sit down with Louise Lambert-Day, Functional Medicine Nutritionist, as she shares the principles for supporting the body’s detox processes through foods and lifestyle practises aswell as how we can use this as a ‘reset’ for us to move forward with a blueprint for optimum health and increased vitality and energy.

Learn some simple ways to reduce toxic load on your body and how small changes can reap large rewards for both mental and physical energy.

Lastly, a Yang Yin Yoga session to open and balance the flow of active and passive energy for the new season. The Yang is repetitive and flowing, building up internal energy with a focus on power, strength and stamina for mind, body and spirit. The Yin poses work deeper into the connective structure of the body and the joints, longer held poses with a focus on the tissues around the hips, side body and inner thighs to stimulate the flow of energy along the pathways of the liver and gallbladder meridians.

We close our morning with the opportunity to ask any questions and time to pause, linger and connect with others with a final cuppa before heading home.

Summer Pilates Wellness Event- £50

Join us at Place Eight Wellness, as we embrace the warmer months with a morning of Pilates, Nutrition…oh and wellness treats!

You’ll be welcomed with a nutritious cold pressed juice before joining the wonderful Louisa Harris from Louisa Harris Pilates as she helps you to connect to your breath, release tension, increase mobility and build strength and resilience through body and mind. Attention will be devoted to the spine and posture, as well as shoulders, hips and our peripheral joints to ease away aches and pains.

Following this, take your tea, get comfy and join Louise Lambert-Day, Naturopathic Nutritionist and owner of Place Eight Wellness who will talk about the importance of taking care of our gut and what we can do naturally, through foods to build immune resilience. Finally, as we can all do with a little treat from time to time, you’ll leave with our little Wellness goody bag! A few small treats worth over £20 RRP, to help keep you well x

If you have to cancel within 1 week of the event itself either because you have Covid-19 symptoms or have been asked to self-isolate it is very unlikely we would be able to fill your space on an already much reduced event size. Sorry but we are unable to refund or reschedule in this instance.

Summer Shred Boot Camp - 6 weekly sessions (£60)

It’s Time!

Time to blow away the cobwebs, re-focus, be inspired and prioritise our health again!

Place Eight Wellness and Health Buddy Boot Camps have teamed up to bring you a six week boot camp class, designed to get active in the fresh air, burn fat, maximise weight-loss and increase fitness levels.

These outdoor, bodyweight (no equipment) sessions are suitable for anyone wanting to lose weight or wanting to improve their strength and fitness after lockdown. Men and women and all ages and abilities are welcome, so everyone can work at their own pace to achieve results. These are friendly, fun, non-intimidating sessions so no need to feel that you can’t attend!


Place Eight is a beautiful countryside location and classes will take place both on the decked area of the wellness centre as well as making the most of the beautiful surrounding outside spaces.

Nourishing Autumnal Woodland Flow (1.5 hrs) - £16

You wanted more and we listened…

Our woodland yoga sessions proved to be so popular that we promised we’d try to squeeze in a couple more if the weather allowed us to.

So, join us for a grounding, energising Sunday morning autumnal flow followed by a nourishing hot chocolate to warm you both inside and out.

Bring your mat and a blanket to keep the chills away, warm comfy clothing and mug if you have one.

Our space is  a beautiful woodland spot with covered wooden long house to allow plenty of social distancing. It’s the perfect spot to see, sense and welcome the beginning of Autumn.

This event is suitable for those with some yoga experience.

Places are limited for this event to allow for social distancing.

Please arrive at Place Eight Wellness by 10.15 am promptly to allow time to walk down to our woodland space.

Woodland Meditation & Sound Experience (1 hr) - £20

Take some time for yourself!

Join us for this woodland meditation and sound experience and take some time for yourself.
During this one hour event, Sonia will gently guide you through a meditation, encouraging the space
to totally relax, re-generate and re-nourish, whilst listening to the sounds of the trees.
She will then create a beautiful soundscape with her gong, bowls and other instruments and allow the vibration of the sounds to massage your physical body, de-clutter your mind and feed your soul.

Places are limited for this event to allow for social distancing.

Please arrive at Place Eight Wellness by 11.45 am promptly to allow time to walk down to our woodland space.

We are currently asking you to bring your own mat, cushion, and refreshment. Please dress in comfortable layers and wear appropriate shoes/wellies to walk to the wood especially if wet.

This event is open to everyone but precautions should be taken if any of the following apply:

  • Pregnancy (not recommended in the first trimester)

  • Tinnitus/Meniere’s Disease/Epilepsy - or any condition which sound is sensitive 

  • Metal implants/pins/screws/pacemaker - (sound can resonate the metal or change the rhythm of the pacemaker).

  • Mental health conditions, Clinical depression, Bipolar or Schizophrenia.
